Serraview APS is an optical safety device that helps overcome the
blindspot caused by thick A pillars in vehicles and consists of
a vertical section of PVC that incorporates microscopic prisms.
The product adheres to a vehicle's windscreen on the driver’s
side in a similar way to a vehicle licence holder. Ultimately, the
device can be integrated into a vehicle’s windscreen. A-pillar
obscuration is widely documented to be a contributing factor in
one in five accidents. Serraview APS will help overcome this problem.
Serraview APS is an original equipment
automotive rear view system. Serraview PMS both improves vehicle
aerodynamics, resulting in a lower fuel consumption, and the driver’s
field of view. It consists of micro-replicated plastic sheets cut
to shape, bonded to glass and then assembled into a plastic cell
before being installed in an aerodynamic housing. It combines optical
reflection and refraction to capture the image behind and to the
side of the vehicle and present it to the driver inside the vehicle.
